My Father Professor (Dr.) Jagamohan Rathor is a teacher par excellence. He rose from the status of primary school teacher to the rank of UGC Professor of Education .He passed Matriculation in First Division from Uttkal university in 1951.After doing BSc.(Hons) with ( Botany,Chemistry,Mathmetics) from Ravenswa college,followed by Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) from Radhanatha Training College Cuttack, he started his career as a primary school teacher at Rajnagar M.E. School, Keonjhar district of Orissa. Then he joined as science teacher at D.N. High school Keonjhar. Later he joined as science teacher at M.K.C High School Baripada in Mayurbhanj District. Then he went for post gradguate study i.e. Master in Education (M.Ed.) from Radhanatha Training College Cuttack.Then he joined as assistant teacher in science at Ravenshaw collegiate school Cuttack. In 1961 he joined as lecturer in Education at Gangadhara Meher College Sambalpur . Later he worked at Ravenshaw college Cuttack.Then he went to NCERT NewDelhi to do Diploma in Education al and Vocational Guidance (Dip in EVG).After coming back to Odisha he joined at Radhanatha training college Cuttack as lecturer in Education . He became a reader in Education at State Council of Education al Research and Training (SCERT), later he worked as Vice-Principal and Deputy Director at SCERT. He became Professor-cum-Principal at Dr. Parsuram Mishra Institute of Advance Studiesin Education (PMISE) at Sambalpur. He went abroad to Institute of Education London University in 1978 for a certificate course on Curricullam reconstruction on common wealth Scolarship provided by the British Govt. Then became Professor-Cum-Principal at Radhanatha Institute of Advance Studies in Education Formerly Radhanatha training College, Cuttack. He also served as a member, at Selection Board Bhubaneswar. Retired as vice President Board of Secondary Education Cuttack in 1991. He is a Pioneer Educationist of India, a dedicated and devoted teacher,a person honest to the pie, an erudite scholar, a text book author for high school courses in Mathematics, Geography and General science, and also author of books for graduate and post graduate courses in Education .

After retirement from service he worked as a psychological consultant for deaddiction at voluntary organisation at Bhubaneswar. Later he served as Principal at Raghunatha Jew College Deulasahi, Cuttack for seventeen years. Now he is leading active and engaged social life. Now he is writing his memoirs. It will be a glimpse on the educational scene of Keonjhar and Odisha.

My Mother hails from a modest Rajput Kshatriya from a small village,Santari(Po:- Raidihi, Via:-Sini,District:- Seraikela-Kharsuan) in Jharkhand. They are descendant of Vir Surendra Sai Chauhan of Sambalpur.

I have five sisters.All are well settled in their lives.

Dr. Mrs. Rita Ray who is a lecturer in Philosophy. She was an UGC (NET) Scholar.She did her post graduation, followed by M.Phil. and Ph.D in Philosophy from Utkal University Bhubaneswar,Odisha, India. She is working in the Odisha Educational Service cadre under higher education department of Government of Odisha.She has published a number of research articles in various journals in India.Her field of work is in Indian Philosophy.At present she is working as a lecturer at Ravenswa Junior College Cuttack.
